Where do RGV Residents look for local jobs

by Adriane
(Scottsdale, AZ, USA)

I work for an event staffing company and we have a promotion in the area that needs young people. What are the most popular sites (other than the usual - Facebook/Craigslist)?

People from the valley tend to use successful national websites the most. As you mentioned, Facebook is number one. Others would be twitter and YouTube.

As far as local website are concerned, there are very few which attract any viewers. Most are half build or abandoned after a short amount of time. Reaching a webmaster can be almost impossible.

As far as jobs listing sites, mostly it's Monster and Career Builder. However, recently some other sites have come up and are providing more jobs listings and better functionality.

The most successful sites would be sites about South Padre Island, such as, www.sopadre.com and www.spadre.com. For the Rio Grande valley as a whole, I believe this site is about as good as it gets. We do have a job board available, which you can find to the left on our navigation bar under jobs.
