TSTC CREATES TWO AUTUMN CELEBRATIONS
What could be more fun than an autumn festival? How about two autumn festivals?
To better accommodate large crowds anticipated for its annual autumn bash, Texas State Technical College Harlingen will split its traditional fall celebration into two, separate events.
Fun for Kids will be held at the TSTC Wellness and Sports Center, located on Loop 499 near United Launch Alliance and Valley International Airport, from 6 PM to 8 PM October 28. It’s open to the public and there is no admission fee. Cartoon and movie star Scooby-Doo will greet youngsters so bring your cameras! There will be a Haunted House, fun, games, and some college clubs will sell snacks.
Fall Fest will be held at the TSTC Athletic Field, located at the corner of Rio Hondo Road and 29th Street, from 6 PM to 9 PM November 3. The Haunted House will reappear in the TSTC Wellness & Sports Center and there will be costume contests (children at 6:45 PM & adults at 7:15 PM). Again, the public will be invited to attend and there will be no admission fee.
An extensive menu with everyone’s favorite foods will be the big attraction. Student clubs will sell pizza, tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, fajitas, popcorn, funnel cakes, Frito pies, brisket sandwiches and much more as fundraisers for educational projects. There will be a cake walk and games, too!
