Juan “Johnny” Miguel Garcia started learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Knoxville, TN from instructor Jack Butterni at American Karate. He received his blue belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Kentucky on February 1999 from the Legendary Royce Gracie. Prior to opening Garcia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mr. Garcia taught from his home privately for 2 years after moving back from Oakrigde, TN. On November of 2004, Johnny and Diane Garcia opened Garcia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu . In the summer of 2006, Mr. Garcia was the head instructor of the Gracie Academy in Shibuya, Japan. While in Japan, Mr.Garcia trained with the following Mixed Martial Artists: Murillo Bustamante, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and countless members of the Brazilian Top Team. In the summer of 2008, Mr.Garcia was the head of The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/ Mixed Martial Arts Department at the Fairtex Resort in Pattaya, Thailand. While in Thailand, Mr. Garcia trained in Muay Thai. In the winter of 2008, he has traveled through Europe (Turkey, Macedonia, and Italy) teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

Owners Diane and Johnny Garcia opened Garcia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in November 2004. GARCIA BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU offers classes for men ,women, and children in all aspect of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu such as gi and no gi “grappling submission, Extensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Self Defense Program, and Mixed Martial Art Training .Our facility is a proud member of The Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Network . We are also affiliated with Tamma (Texas Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Association) Texas Rage in the Cage Amateur Fighting Circuit.
