Johnnie's Customer Service Report

by Johnnie

I have owned a grocery store and a restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley and customer service has always been of the utmost importance to me. I have also provided Customer Service in various jobs for a number of employers in the Rio Grande Valley. I am here to share my opinion of the best places in the Rio Grande Valley with great food and service. I will also share why I think some places have the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Tony's Romas BBQ North 10TH Street McAllen
by: Johnnie

I decide to go check out Tony Romas BBQ I called in my order of Baby Back Ribs and potatoes and onion rings. I went through the drive through. I got there early. I was so dispointed in the food. I thought it would be so good and hot. I only live a few blocks away. The server was nice and polite. When I got home the the onion rings were hot but very soggy. The potatoes and the Baby Back ribs were not even luke warm including the bread. The food was tasty but wish it was at least warm. This suprised me since I was there early and had to wait awhile for the food. I will try you all again soon.

Abel 's Air- Condition
by: Anonymous

Has this happen to you? It is a holiday or a Sunday and your air-condition man you have used for years is no longer in business. Will my husband called several people and only received recordings. Well he looked in the telephone book and found Able and he actually answered the phone. He was polite and came right away. He delivered us a written estimate and asked if we wanted to continue? We like the price. So, we did. He was gone a very short time and came back. He worked quickly.
He works on all kinds of air-conditions and does residential and Commercial. Thank you for your Great Service. If you need a air-condition repair man we recommend Able at 956-867-2082.
Thank You Able.

Friendly helpful store Holly Lobby

I was looking for a special item that was on sale and needed more. Mary at the McAllen store was so helpful and gave me a rain check coupon. She was so nice and helpful and ordered my items and retrieved them in a timely matter. In Harlingen, Arnold the manager and Minnie did the same. I sure do like both stores. They both have such helpful staff and I love all the items in the store. They have great customer service. The only thing that I would suggest for the store is that the lines are to long when you go to check out.

Sweet Tempatations Restaurant & Catering
by: Johnnie

I met Mr. J. P. Lipscomb who owns the Sweet Tempatations Restaurant & Catering in McAllen, Texas. He catered a delicious luncheon at Central Christian this week. The meal included an enchalada plate, salad, and extremely good banana split cake. He was very friendly and nice to the staff and he set up the food in a very effencient way. I particularly liked the food presentation.

Thank you Mr. Lipscomb for the excellent customer service.

BJ's
by: Johnnie

Last week my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat. We went to BJ's and met, Broc Mckee, the Dining Room Manager. We ate their delicious chicken strips with french fries. It was soooo good! The best part of all was the root beer float. It was the best root beer float I have ever tasted. It brought back memories of when the valley had the "A and W" drive-in in McAllen many years ago. By the way, the root beer is made right in the restaurant. The customer service was great. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a meal. For the older generation that grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, it will bring back good old memories of sitting with you date after school having a good old fashion root beer.

Thanks for bringing back those memories, having such good customer service and great food. Keep up the good work with the incredible home made root beer.

Mrs. Mary Shimotsu, School Director of Central Christian School which is located at 1390 Nolana, McAllen, Texas, catered a luncheon for the Teachers and Staff. The room was nicely decorated and door prizes were given out. The lunch was catered by Sweet Tempations Restaurant & Catering. The food presentation was good and the food was delicious.

The Staff Would Like to Thank Mrs. Shimotsu for such a nice luncheon.
