House Mold in The Rio Grande Valley

The Rio Grande Valley is a prime place for Mold to grow in your house. Mold can cause variety of health problems; i.e. Allergic reactions in people that don’t have allergies, infections, and poisoning from Mycotoxins.

The prime environment for mold to grow is warm temperatures and high humidity. We call all agree that fits the valley. If you do have mold in your house, you may want to consider hiring a professional to remove it. I know some people would like to just paint over it and forget about it. This does not make the mold go away and it continues to grow until it breaks through your paint. Be sure to check the credentials of any professional you hire. Your health is too important.

Recently in 2003, Dr. Mani Skaria expressed concern over the reoccurrence of mold in homes located in The Rio Grande Valley.

In 2002, Brownsville schools were shut down for mold clean up and lawsuits followed.

To reduce the chance of mold in your home reduce the humidity in your house, use bleach to clean wet areas, make sure there are no hidden leaks in your house, and inspect your house after heavy rains or flooding.
