When travelling by car, don’t stop at gas stations to use the bathroom. They are usually dirty and have a foul smell. Stop at a hotel instead. Their bathrooms are always clean. They are located near the lobby and the clerk at the desk does not know if you’re staying there or visiting a friend. If they offer help, just decline. Walk past the desk and look for the bathroom. When flying, renting a car, or staying in a hotel, always ask how much an upgrade is. Once they tell you, decline the offer. Act as if it’s too much.
