2010 McAllen Start! Heart Walk

by Monica Hernandez
(Pharr, TX)

Lace up your walking shoes and join us on Saturday, November 6th!

The 2010 McAllen Heart Walk is an annual 5K non-competitive family walking event designed to bring public awareness to physical activity and a heart-healthy lifestyle, while at the same time, raising the critical dollars needed to fund the life-saving research and educational community programs of the American Heart Association. Walkers from all over Hidalgo County come out to support the fight against our country’s leading causes of death – heart disease and stroke.

Participating in the American Heart Walk is easy as tying your shoes! Walk as a part of your company team or form your own team with family and friends. Set a goal to raise $150 per walker and ask your friends, family and people you do business with to support you by giving you a donation towards the AHA.

For more information on registering, check out our on-line registration and fundraising website and see how easy it is to join a team or start your own team. Just go to McAllen Heart Walkor you can call Monica Hernandez, for more information at 888-433-7714 or 956-984-0201.
