Another World's Championship Shrimp Cook-Off tradition,

Another World's Championship Shrimp Cook-Off tradition,

Gates open at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, November 7th for the 17th Annual World's Championship Shrimp Cook-Off. Located in the the parking lot of the old Wal-Mart (site of Sutherland's Express, LLC) on Highway 100, this culinary tradition is expected to be even bigger and better!

Dozens of professional and amateur will expertly prepare over one ton of fresh wild caught Gulf shrimp in a wide variety of ways from boiled to coconut to cocktails to fried and scampi. While munching on tasty shrimp you can shop for jewelry, collectibles, art and more from the vendors set up on the grounds. There will be a mini-carnival for the kids, balloon animals, face painting and games.
